CEDC
The Central Economic Development Center, Inc. (CEDC), is a 501 (c) (3) not-for
-profit corporation organized in July, 2007 under the laws of the State of Florida.

The CEDC was formerly a part of the Central Community Redevelopment Agency (CCRA) and was charged with executing CCRA's economic development activities.

The CEDC was separated from the CCRA to enable it to  serve a larger client base, namely every resident of Manatee County, Florida, and with a target market of low to moderate income individuals.  A statistical review regarding CEDC clientele revealed that 75% of CEDC users were located outside of CCRA's geographical boundaries.
The Central Economic Development Center, Inc. is a stand-alone corporation, which is not affiliated, owned, or controlled by any other entity except its self-appointed Governing Board of Directors.  No governmental agencies control the selection of the Governing Board or any activities of the CEDC.
